The Town of Westford is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Facilities. This position works under the direction of the Town Manager and Superintendent of Schools and is responsible for the planning, directing, managing, and oversight of all municipal and public-school buildings.
Duties shall include: management of all personnel within Facilities Department, providing performance evaluations, annual training, disciplinary actions, payroll, leave requests, and employee workload management. Position shall develop and manage the department’s operating and capital budgets and shall implement measures to maximum the useful life of all public buildings in Westford. Applicants must hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in facilities management or a related field, Master’s Degree preferred. The regular working hours for the position are Monday through Friday 8AM to 4PM, with additional evening hours required to attend public meetings and weekend/evening hours responding to building related emergencies. Valid driver’s license required. Salary range for the position is $91,350 – $121,800, in accordance with the town’s personnel policies.
