    Job Description
    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    To maintain and develop the school district’s physical plant and grounds in a condition and manner that promotes operational excellence so that the educational mission of the District can be achieved. Reports to Director of Finance and Operations
    •Assign, schedule, supervise, and evaluate all staff responsible for the maintenance and custodial care of District-operated buildings and grounds.
    •Develop policies and procedures for the maintenance and custodial care of District-operated buildings and grounds.
    •Develop and manage preventive maintenance plans for all District buildings, grounds, and equipment (excluding information technology).
    •Aide in the procurement of contractors to maintain and repair buildings, grounds, equipment, and systems.
    •Oversee contractors engaged in the maintenance and repair of District buildings, grounds, equipment, and systems.
    •Schedule and monitor all building automation and/or energy management systems, including but not limited to HVAC, security, and access control.
    •Participate in the development and maintenance of short- and long-range capital plans.
    •Participate in the development of specifications for, and provide oversight and management of capital improvement projects.

    Job Requirements
    PREFERENCES/REQUIREMENTS:

    •Associates degree from an accredited college, with concentration in facilities management, building systems, or engineering, preferred
    •At least 3-years’ experience in the supervision of custodial and/or maintenance staff, preferably in an educational setting
    •At least 3-years’ experience in the construction and/or maintenance of institutional/commercial buildings
    •Knowledge of custodial practices as relates to educational facilities.
    •Knowledge of and experience in the use of building automation and energy management systems
    •Valid driver’s license

    At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
    Associate degree preferred.
    Citizenship, residency or work visa required
