MFAA is pleased to announce we have partnered with MIIA, a provider of Risk Management Services for many of our member’s employers to provide regulatory required training. Mass Department of Labor Services will be presenting annual required safety training. Several of our Sponsors will be presenting also. MFAA is authorized to provide training certificates to show compliance with DLS training requirements.
BETCO is offering a special session for LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT for Lead or Head Custodians only, not more than two people per town or regional entity. BE SURE TO TYPE on REGISTRATION FORM ‘LEADERSHIP’ in Job Title for this special, first-time offered, Leadership Training Track.
One full-day training session will be offered in regional locations on different days, choose one session near your location…. All start with continental breakfast at 7:30am and end at 3pm.
MIIA Rewards can be applied for up to 5 attendee payment credits for eligible entities. This is available on a first come first served basis upon on-line registration, subject to verification and budgeted funding.

Training Schedule:
7:30 – 8:00 Café Coffee and Pastries – Welcome, and explanation of the day
To qualify for DLS required training certification or MIIA Rewards, attendees are required to sign in to EVERY SESSION
For Leadership Track, the attendee MUST have ‘LEADERSHIP” typed in registration as JOB TITLE.
8:00 sessions begin
BREAK will be at 9:40 and LUNCH at Noon.

- Heat & Cold Stress and Safe Work Prep by Lynn Rose
- Building Preparedness / Response by GILMORE
- Right to Know, Asbestos Refresher, and Job Site- Commonwealth of Massachusetts Mandatory Training (ladder, roof, floor machine, electrical, etc.)
- Bloodborne Pathogen (Commonwealth of MA required Annual Training) BETCO – Jack Collins
- Organization – Equipment Readiness LIKAAR
Option of Group Discussion – ‘What Would Make Job Better’ led by MIIA employee assistance professional OR – LEADERSHIP TRACK [if pre-registered] led by BETCO OR – Tour of the school – [Essex NSA&T, others tba]
