KeymasterPlant and Facilities Assistant Manager
The Quabbin Regional School District seeks a highly qualified, skilled individual to assist the Plant & Facilities Manager in matters
essential to the efficiency and effectiveness of the district’s facilities and grounds and to ensure that all of the District’s school
facilities, furniture and equipment are maintained in a condition of operational excellence allowing for full use of facilities and
grounds at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Bachelors’ degree with major field of study in facilities management, construction management, mechanical or civil engineering or
related field
2.A minimum of five (5) years professional work experience with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role, preferred
3.AHERA designation or ability to achieve within one (1) year
4.Integrated Pest Management (IPM) certification or ability to achieve within one (1) year
5.Knowledge of LEED certification process
6.MCPPO certification or ability to achieve within one (1) year
7.Ability to read, understand and convey construction and maintenance documents, including, but not limited to, mechanical,
electrical and architectural drawings and specifications
8.Strong oral and written communications skills
9.Strong organizational skills
10.Ability to work with a high degree of independence
11.Ability to make effective decisions and provide sound judgment
12.Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and facilities management software
13.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and Director of Administrative Services may find appropriate
and acceptable
JOB DUTIES:
Assisting the Plant & Facilities Manager in the day-to-day operations of the QRSD Plant & Facilities Department including:
maintaining operation of HVAC, electrical and water systems , developing and maintaining multi-year maintenance plan and
procedures procurement, purchasing and inventory, local/state/district inspection reporting, supervision, recruitment and evaluation
of staff, as well as school and building security.
