Director of Public Facilities – Town of Sandwich

    The town of Sandwich has an opening for a full-time, 40 hours plus Director of Public Facilities. Position provides professional, supervisory, administrative and manual work relating to the general care, maintenance, repair and alterations of all town buildings and coordinating these activities with other town departments, contractors, and agencies. The position is on call for situations requiring immediate attention. Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, business administration, or related field preferred; however, a combination of education, qualifications, and experience is also acceptable. A current Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisors License supplemented by broad training in general maintenance and project management is required. Current licensure in other related fields such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC or the like is highly desirable. The successful candidate must understand and navigate the complexities of public procurement and bidding requirements and be diligent about record keeping and compliance. Computer skills will be required. Position supervises two full-time and four part-time employees. Salary Range: $90,000 – $ 95,000 with excellent benefits.
