RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Performs duties as assigned by the Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendents.
-Effectively promotes and models the district’s Mission, Vision, Goals and Values to students, parents and the community.
-Responsible for managing the planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of all school district facilities ensuring a
clean and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
-Responsible for the evaluation of facilities and maintenance personnel within the operations team.
-Oversee the scheduling of all facilities, fields, courts, etc. prioritizing D-Y student activities first.
-Develop and oversee execution of a schedule incorporating best practice procedures, for preventative maintenance and
routine maintenance throughout the district as assigned.
-Continuously review procedures and protocols to improve and update regularly.
-Develops and supervises maintenance and operation work schedules in communication with Central Office and building
Principals through regular meetings. Ensures coverage and support when needed.
-Supervises outside contractors for safety and project completion according to district specifications.
-Maintains and updates lists of capital improvement needs to help inform and develop the districts ongoing capital plan.
Reviews and prioritizes capital needs with Central Office Administration, and assists in presenting the plan to town officials and
the community.
-Coordinates adherence to AHERA, MSDS, OSHA, EPA and any other federal, state or local regulations for health and safety
of maintenance personnel and building occupants.
-Coordinates annual inspections (Fire extinguishers, sprinklers, fire alarms, elevators and chair lifts, boilers, generators, fuel
tanks, septic, wastewater treatment, chemical hoods in science labs, gym equipment, etc.)
-Work with Dennis and Yarmouth Town Emergency Management Teams. Assist in monitoring the High School when used as
an Emergency Shelter.
-Participate in snow/weather emergency planning and response and support the Superintendent in determining whether to
cancel or delay school.
