<td colspan=”2″>POSITION:Building Automation System Controls CoordinatorREPORTS TO:Coordinator of Buildings & Grounds
ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:
This position will oversee the Building Automation Systems (BAS), Troubleshooting, Programming, Alarm Response, and Project Management relative to the districts Building Automation Controls. This position will have direct oversight of all the HVAC Operational Systems and Energy Management Program.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Monitor and respond to HVAC control issues daily. This would include monitoring all systems and reacting to the needs of the district in a proactive manner.
2. Develop, design, and manage all aspects of the HVAC ventilation and temperature controls for the WPS energy management program.
3. Perform system administration duties and software programming oversight for HVAC control building automation systems.
4. Work collaboratively with the Facilities Director and the Budget Director to monitor utility usage and trends throughout the district and identify potential energy savings.
5. Provide technical and training support to HVAC maintenance staff for operating problems involving temperature control systems.
6. Lead efforts to provide as-built documentation for in-house controls projects.
7. Develop and recommend Improvement to the BAS system(s).
8. Provide daily oversight and summary reports of the WPS building automation system to ensure all facilities are operating within required ventilation and temperature ranges and peak efficiencies.
9. Complete oversight of the BAS controls for the new construction and related capital projects as needed.
10. Responsible for carrying a pager for emergency calls.
11. Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge and skill of operation, maintenance, installation, and repair of commercial HVAC equipment and control software. Should have a strong controls background with the following BAS Controls: Johnson Controls, Siemens, Apogee, BacNet, Metasys, Tridium, Alerton, Andover, Trane, and Automated Logic.
2. Effective oral and written communication skills, including ability to effectively present information to a diverse population.
3. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operate a PC at an intermediate level (operate Building Operating Systems).
4. Knowledge of tools and specialized equipment required for the position.
5. Ability to proficiently use technology and computer-based programs.
6. Ability to work as part of a team.
7. Three to five years of progressively responsible HVAC controls or energy systems experience is required. Project management or supervisory experience is desired.
8. Valid Mass Driver’s License
SALARY:$85,000 to $90,000 annually
Work Year: 52 weeks/year
Work Day: Mondays – Fridays 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. plus additional hours as required.
