MFAA is thankful for our continued partnership with MHEC! We will be hosting our September meeting at the MHEC EXPO and benefit from the venue and this amazing event!

THEME:

Expo is known for its creative themes that add an element of fun to the event. Being New England’s premier purchasing consortium for educational not-for-profits, this year MHEC wants to celebrate all that is wonderful about Autumn in New England. To us, country fairs and harvest festivals come to mind. Given the abundance our region offers and the diverse backgrounds of our suppliers, we’re hoping exhibitors might share something of what’s special about where they come from.

ATTENDANCE:

Attendees hale from all six New England states and come from numerous sectors, primarily cities and towns, K-12, higher education and libraries. This offers our membership a chance to meet suppliers on our contracts, see demonstrations of supplier offerings, learn about new products, and get the information they need to make buying decisions. Typical attendance of past years:  600 registrations, 400+ on-premise attendees.

MHEC returns to Expo with Worcester Toys for Tots giving attendees and exhibitors alike an opportunity to share their good fortune with those less fortunate by bringing the joy of toys to children at Christmas time.

Description:

In addition to the Arena, the DCU Center also consists of an attached state-of-the-art Convention Center. The complex has 100,310 square feet of exhibit space, 23,636 square feet in 11 meeting rooms, and a 12,144 square foot ballroom, (the largest in Central Massachusetts).

 

We are happy to let you all know that the DCU’s HVAC is state of the art and meets the recommended MERV 13 standard for air filters and increased air exchange as the site was used as a temporary field hospital/medical facility during the pandemic. This is a great piece of mind for our vendors and attendees!
