The MFAA is excited to announce our 2023 Fall Conference and EXPO! We are brining things back to basics and are hosting this event solely under the MFAA, while still of course encouraging and inviting our business and procurement and state agency friends along for this great event.
We will be back again at the Worcester DCU with a some significant changes. Last year was an attempt to try a new location and a new format. Some things worked great, others not as much… Taking all feedback and comments folks were extremely happy with the central location and the conference committee are making adjustments to the event and schedule to provide a better experience for everyone.
- Everything will be all on the same floor… EVERYTHING!!! We are using the entire 3rd floor of the DCU to create a more intimate environment with direct connection to all conference and EXPO activities.
- Tuesday morning is an offsite professional development and networking event for attendees while exhibitors set up their booths. Attendees and guests are coming back to DCU for dedicated floor time Tuesday evening with appetizers, carving stations, beverages, raffle prizes and plenty of time to connect with our sponsors.
- Wednesday’s schedule is being returned to prior years with separate break out training time as to not compete with dedicated morning EXPO floor time.
Somethings haven’t changed in that we are still be providing the best professional development opportunities for building building professionals along with opportunities to network and connect with your colleagues from across the state.
Booth representatives are welcomed, and encouraged, to attend any part of the day sessions and Vendor Attendee Reception the evening before the EXPO. We want you to be part of this amazing event, not just an added feature that all of you unfortunately have had to live through. Keep in mind, when the show floor is open, that is the only item on the schedule at that time! You will not be competing against any other events or breakout sessions.
This continues to be a sold-out event so make sure you lock in your space sooner rather than later. We would hate to miss seeing you and connecting.
*** This event is reserved for preregistered Vendor/Sponsors that have secured a booth. Non registered vendor representatives are not welcome to walk the floor and if found being in attendance without having reserved a booth will be asked to leave. This is in fairness to our vendor/partners that are supporting MFAA through hosting a booth. ***
Tuesday Oct 17th: (9:00 am to 4:00 pm) booth setup
Tuesday: (5:00 pm to 8:00 pm) EXPO Floor Opens for Reception / Dinner / Beverages for attendees and vendors
Wednesday Oct 18th: (8:30 am – 9:45 am) Opening address kickoff / 1st breakout session
(9:45 am to 12:45 pm) EXPO Floor open with lunch served on floor
(1:00 pm ) EXPO officially closes booths can be broken down
(1:00 pm to 4:30 pm) 2nd and 3rd breakout sessions
Booth Power: all booth power requests and payment are handled directly through the Conference and Event Center. Exhibitor packages will be emailed after receipt of booth confirmation.

In addition to the Arena, the DCU Center also consists of an attached state-of-the-art Convention Center. The complex has 100,310 square feet of exhibit space, 23,636 square feet in 11 meeting rooms, and a 12,144 square foot ballroom, (the largest in Central Massachusetts).
We are happy to let you all know that the DCU’s HVAC is state of the art and meets the recommended MERV 13 standard for air filters and increased air exchange as the site was used as a temporary field hospital/medical facility during the pandemic. This is a great piece of mind for our vendors and attendees!
